Dear Dan,
I got your book “The Secrets to Color Harmony”. I’ve never been taught, just relied on trial and error, and yes, it’s extremely frustrating and time consuming. Still, I learned a lot even from that. I’ve had (2) methods I’ve relied on, a.Straight out of my imagination, and, b.photographs or books which I try to copy. I realize now how much more fun I will have once I know color scheming. It’s been in the back of my mind, but I’ve relied on my own attraction to color. I need a few things before I embark on your lessons, but I’m so excited about the freedom that will be mine, the control, too, once I accomplish your exercises. I’ve seen other books on color but they just weren’t so easy to follow, nor so logical or comprehensive. I love your paintings, and I appreciate your hard work in assembling this book! I used to have “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” also, but I lost that in the shuffle. I’m still going to do your lessons first, before I make a deep investment in sketching. May you have continued happiness throughout your life for sharing with those of us who can’t afford art lessons.
